A month ago, New York Police Department officer adopted the same puppy that she rescued from a hot locked car for hours

Aruna Maharaj, a New York City police officer with the 19th Precinct has adopted the same dog that she helped to rescue a hot and locked car. After one month of helping with its rescue she planned to look after this puppy on her own.

The New York Police Department’s 19th Precinct received a call on 18th June that a gorgeous doggo was locked inside a car. According to the 19th Precinct posted on its Twitter account his owner left him in his hot locked car for hours. The police could remove the helpless puppy after two hours after being called to rescue it.

Police officers break the front passenger side window, unlock the car and get pup out from the backseat. They saw that he was hungry, and they gave him a trat before taking it to veterinary care.

In a follow-up tweet, the precinct noted that on that day, there was an unusual temperature which would heat up the car. The NYPD added: “It’s prohibited to leave an animal unattended in a car under these dangerous conditions. However, we are grateful to nearby residents who observed the puppy and promptly reported.”

According to police, the owner of the automobile was charged with animal cruelty and the criminal investigation is still ongoing.

The dog was taken to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) for care. According to the veterinarian, the dog was in good condition and did not need any more medical treatment. He was there until he would meet a new family.

He was a lucky puppy because Aruna Maharaj, who was one of the police officers that rescued him, decided to offer him a new family in as her own after a month of his gravity.

The New York Police Department’s 19th Precinct was delighted to be able to see a cheerful lasting for the incapable dog and admired Maharaj for his kindness.

They were sure that this puppy would not be abandoned or rejected again that they know he have the ability to it.

When individuals see an animal being breathless in a vehicle, the Humane Society of the United States encourages them to avoid from do something oneself.

Instead, they should report to the relevant authorities and refrain from acting alone in any activity that would put them at risk or dangerous.

Pet owners claim that it is best to leave their animals at home and not bring them with them when it is really hot outdoors, and they cannot bring them inside the place they are visiting.

This incredible story went viral in the hearts of many people on the Internet, and everyone was extremely happy that the puppy was finally lucky to meet a loving owner. Norma Fox Wright, a Facebook user, gave her gratitude to the officer who adopted “this wonderful puppy that just wants to be loved” by adding, “God bless this officer for the adoption of this gorgeous dog.”

Many people thanked NYPD officers for helping those who cannot speak. Because of the neglect of some pet owners, animals that are kept as pets are also at risk of experiencing pain and suffering.

The Humane Society encourages pet owners to limit their pets’ exercise on hot days and provide lots of shade and water.
