11-Year-old Abandoned Both By His Biological Parents And His Adoptive Family Meets Single Dad Who Wish To Adopt Him

Adopting is the ultimate act of humanity, particularly for children who have been abandoned by their neglectful biological parents.

Unfortunately, it does happen that adoptive parents often abandon the kids they once welcomed into their lives, and that is exactly what happened to the young boy named Anthony.

Anthony’s adoptive parents took him to the hospital one day and left him there instead of loving him and being there for him in sickness and in health. His mother and father never came to collect their son and that was the last time he ever saw them.

What’s worst about the whole thing is that ‘dumping’ their son was a legal action.

All the promises of a forever family were broken, and the helpless boy was left alone, abandoned, frightened, and felt down emotionally.

Most people couldn’t believe that a parent could do this to a child. They abandoned their kid when he needed them most after looked after him for seven years. Sadly, they did the same thing to their other adapted son a couple of years.

“He didn’t know when or if they would ever come back for him because he wasn’t a part of the plan to abandon their child” author said.

But then, unexpectedly, a man named Peter Mutabazi crossed Anthony’s path and completely changed his life.

Peter had a hard childhood. He used to live with his violent father in a secluded village near Rwanda and Uganda. The ordeals he was forced to go through during his young years inspired him to assist youngers who experienced hardship in life.

After Peter arriving in the United States, he established a thriving real estate firm in Oklahoma and he was finally able to come true his dream of aiding children in need of love and a home.

Peter began fostering by taking care of two boys, with whom he instantly fell in love the first meeting he met them. However, the Family Court concluded that they should be reunited with their biological parents.

As a result, when he was approached about a youngster he was meant to look after “only for the weekend,” he was unsure whether to accept.

Eventually, he agreed, but he opted not to inquire about the boy’s past information. Anthony entered Peter’s life at that point.

Peter shared his thoughts about Anthony:

“No way in my wildest dreams did I see myself as a foster parent to the kid of two parents who had lived lives that met the stringent background check criteria required for parenting foster children, only to abandon not one, but two of their children.”

When Anthony first met Peter, he addressed him as ‘Dad.’ But Peter told him not to call him in this manner since he didn’t want to become too close to someone who would leave in his home after 48 hours.

“I told him he could address me as ‘Mr. Peter,’ and 20 minutes later, he asked if he could address me as ‘Dad.’ What? I had no idea what his last name was, but he insisted on calling me ‘Dad.’ This was unusual, because most foster children want to remind you that you are not their father and never will be. “That argument was not even presented by this child I had just met.”

Knowing he was leaving, he decided to finally get up the nerve to ask why the boy was in foster care. According to, social worker “he had been abandoned by his birth mother at the age of two.”

Anthony’s case, according to the social worker, was simply branded as a “failed adoption.” It was at that moment that Peter realized he couldn’t be the second person to let this youngster down after all he’d been through.

“They signed a document releasing them from their parenting responsibilities and haven’t looked back since. I was really taken aback! What I was hearing was so unbelievable that I couldn’t believe it. I burst into tears, filled with rage at what these adults had done to this 11-year-old kid.”

“I was not going to allow him to be overlooked once again. In addition, he was already addressing me as ‘Dad.’ A placement letter was requested from the social worker, and I requested it the same day so that I could enroll him in school the next day. Her face lit up when I told her I was serious, and we both burst into tears of happiness.”

When someone is aware of a child who needs a forever home, this may inspire them to think about adoption. The child may be a family friend, a relative, or a child you met at a public place or neighborhood—whatever the reason, they might feel to provide a home for this child.
